Antigua and Barbuda's national under-20 football team is set to play at least two friendly matches against credible opponents as part of their preparations for the upcoming Concacaf Under-20 Championships, which are scheduled to begin in July.
According to Antigua Observer, Technical Director for football in Antigua, Sowerby Gomes, confirmed the plans, emphasising the importance of quality warm-up competition ahead of the regional tournament.
"We want to do at least two of them (practice matches)," Gomes was quoted as saying, underlining the team's intent to enter the championships well-tested and match-ready.
The Concacaf Under-20 Championships represent a significant stage for the young Benna Boys, and team officials appear determined to ensure the squad is adequately prepared before the tournament kicks off.
