Barbuda People's Movement (BPM) leader Trevor Walker has formally launched his election campaign, reaffirming his commitment to the people of Barbuda and pledging continued service grounded in trust, accountability, and advocacy for the island's interests.
According to Antigua.news, Walker delivered a campaign message in which he described Barbudans as a people defined by strength, resilience, and unity. He cited his track record in leadership as evidence of his dedication to protecting Barbudan rights and ensuring that residents' voices remain central to national decision-making.
Walker stated that his approach to leadership has been guided by integrity and a firm refusal to compromise on issues affecting the island's heritage and livelihoods. He drew a distinction between his record and what he characterised as others who have placed personal interests ahead of the people of Barbuda.
With the election drawing closer, Walker is calling on Barbudans to support the BPM, stressing the importance of safeguarding the island's cultural legacy and maintaining a strong, independent voice in Parliament.
He described the upcoming vote as an opportunity for constituents to choose leadership that has remained consistent in its advocacy for Barbuda, while underscoring the party's long-standing role as a defender of the island's people and their rights.
