The Antigua Public Utilities Authority's Water Business Unit is nearing completion of a new booster station in Tyrells, with commissioning expected to be finalised this week, according to Antigua.news.

The infrastructure upgrade is designed to enhance the hydraulic movement of water throughout the distribution network. Officials say the improvement will significantly boost reliability, particularly for elevated communities that have long endured inconsistent water supply.

Residents in Liberta — including those in Green Hill, Evergreen Tree Road, Horsford Hill, and surrounding areas — are expected to be among the primary beneficiaries of the new facility.

Once fully operational, the booster station is expected to deliver stronger water pressure and a more consistent flow to affected households.

The project forms part of APUA's broader, ongoing efforts to strengthen Antigua's water distribution infrastructure and resolve long-standing challenges faced by communities at higher elevations.
