Senator Johnathan Joseph, the United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate for St. Mary's North, has expressed strong confidence in his prospects ahead of the April 30 general election, declaring that the constituency is ready to change hands.
According to Antigua.news, Joseph made the remarks at the UPP's election launch, where he stated that three years of canvassing and relationship-building with voters across the constituency have laid a solid foundation for his campaign.
Despite the compressed campaign timeline, Joseph described the period as a sprint — one he feels prepared for given his sustained presence in the community over recent years.
Joseph will face Dr. Philmore Benjamin, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate selected to contest the seat previously held by the retired Sir Molwyn Joseph.
