ST. JOHN'S, Antigua and Barbuda — Electors whose Voter's ID Cards have expired will be able to obtain a Special Identification Card (Special ID) on Election Day, Thursday, April 30, 2026, according to Antigua News Room.
Registration Units located within the constituencies will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to facilitate the process. Electors seeking a replacement for an expired card must bring a passport-size photograph and a valid government-issued identification.
Electors whose valid Voter's ID Cards have been lost or stolen will be directed to a separate location. As reported by Antigua News Room, those cases will be handled at the Electoral Commission's headquarters on the second floor of the David Shoul Building, located on the Queen Elizabeth Highway — the former United States Embassy, now serving as the Passport Office.
Applicants attending the headquarters location must also come prepared with a valid government-issued identification and a passport-size photograph.
Authorities are advising all electors to note that the Special ID document will be retained at the Polling Stations following its use on Election Day and will not be returned to the holder.
