Barbuda police are investigating the sudden death of a 49-year-old man who was found unresponsive at a residence on the island, according to Antigua News Room.
Officers responded to the home on May 6 and discovered the man motionless in a bedroom. He had reportedly experienced chest tightness and breathing difficulties prior to being found.
Police noted no visible signs of violence at the scene, and foul play is not suspected. A doctor pronounced the man dead at the scene.
His body was subsequently transported to the Hanna Thomas Hospital before being released to a funeral home at the request of his family.
Investigations into the circumstances of his death remain ongoing.
