Antigua and Barbuda has received widespread praise from regional tourism officials and industry delegates for successfully hosting the Caribbean Travel Marketplace for a second consecutive year, according to Antigua News Room.
Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez toured the trade show floor at the American University of Antigua Conference Centre on Wednesday alongside Junior Tourism Minister Michael Freeland, engaging with tourism stakeholders, buyers and sellers from across the Caribbean.
Feedback from participants has been strongly positive. "So far the reports and feedback we've received from all the stakeholders, buyers and sellers have been very, very positive," Fernandez said.
The minister expressed pride in the country's ability to host one of the Caribbean's leading tourism business events for the second year running, noting its significance at a time when the region is navigating global economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
Fernandez highlighted the marketplace's value as a platform for networking, collaboration and business development, while also underscoring its role in elevating Antigua and Barbuda's international profile as a premier tourism destination.
Regional tourism officials echoed that sentiment, praising Antigua and Barbuda for staging the event successfully in back-to-back years and describing the twin-island nation as one of the Caribbean's leading tourism hubs.
