The Antigua and Barbuda Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has confirmed that Potworks Reservoir is no longer being used as a source of water extraction.
APUA announced the decision in a press release, citing ongoing drought conditions and significantly reduced water levels within the reservoir as the driving factors behind the move.
"For several months, the reservoir consistently contributed an average," the authority noted, signalling that the resource had been under sustained pressure before the decision to cease extraction was made.
