The United Progressive Party (UPP) has firmly dismissed suggestions that the opposition is fracturing in the wake of the April 30 general elections. According to Antigua Observer, the party's response came from UPP Public Relations Officer Jonathan Wehner, who addressed statements made by Prime Minister Gaston Browne on his Browne and Browne Show.

Prime Minister Browne had used the programme to suggest the opposition party was experiencing internal divisions following the recent general elections. Wehner moved swiftly to counter those claims on behalf of the UPP.

As reported by Antigua Observer, Wehner rejected the characterisation of division within the party's ranks, pushing back against the Prime Minister's assertions in a direct public response.
