A 21-year-old Nut Grove resident has been arrested and charged in connection with a larceny and assault incident that took place at Cashew Hill on Tuesday, June 16.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda announced that Dejontè Buckley now faces charges of Larceny, Assault and Battery, Making Use of Threatening Language, and Possession of an Imitation Firearm.
Buckley is alleged to have entered a vehicle belonging to a Cassada Gardens resident and stolen several items, including two wallets, cash, a white AirPods case, identification cards, bank cards, and other personal documents. The stolen property is collectively valued at approximately $3,716.00 ECC.
Following his apprehension and taken into police custody, officers recovered several items linked to the incident, including a ski mask and an imitation firearm.
The Royal Police Force is reminding the public to always secure their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables unattended inside.
