Prime Minister Gaston Browne has put his Cabinet on notice, reminding ministers of the solemn commitments made to the electorate following the Government's strong mandate at the last General Elections.
According to Antigua News Room, the Prime Minister stressed that the confidence placed in the administration by the people of Antigua and Barbuda carries an unwavering responsibility to deliver meaningful results and to remain focused on improving citizens' lives.
Browne urged Cabinet members to serve the public faithfully, with diligence, humility, and a renewed sense of purpose. He made clear that the Government's agenda must be driven by tangible outcomes that directly benefit communities across the nation, reaffirming Cabinet's collective commitment to fulfilling its electoral promises.
In outlining key priorities for the remainder of the term, the Prime Minister highlighted the Government's ambitious infrastructure programme. He stated that the administration is committed to completing no less than 75 percent of the nation's road network within the next four years.
Browne also pointed to plans to scale up preparations and infrastructure for Carnival, the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, and other major national events. Additional priorities include expanding and modernising street lighting across communities, increasing tree planting and environmental beautification initiatives, and intensifying efforts to promote cleaner communities throughout Antigua and Barbuda.
The Prime Minister further advised Cabinet that the programme for removing derelict and abandoned vehicles from public spaces will continue. The initiative forms part of the Government's broader strategy to improve public spaces, enhance community aesthetics, and promote a healthier, safer environment for all citizens.
Cabinet reaffirmed its collective resolve to honour the trust placed in it by the electorate and to continue advancing policies and programmes that support national development and improve the quality of life for all Antiguans and Barbudans.
