The Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross Society (ABRCS) has taken a significant step in strengthening its humanitarian response capabilities, with two of its representatives completing a specialised Training of Trainers program in gender analysis.

According to Antigua Observer, Dr. Jose Humphreys and Ms. Victoria Charlton successfully completed the program in June 2026 in Saint Martin. The training was organised by PIRAC — the Plateforme d'Intervention Régionale Amériques Caraïbes, also known as the Regional Intervention Platform for the Americas and Caribbean.

The completion of the program positions the ABRCS to build internal expertise in gender-sensitive humanitarian response, equipping the two trained representatives to pass on their knowledge to colleagues within the organisation.
