Seven persons with disabilities have secured employment through an initiative supported by the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, marking a significant step forward in advancing inclusion and economic opportunity for this community in Antigua and Barbuda.
The development has been hailed as a major milestone, with officials and advocates pointing to the placements as evidence that targeted programmes can produce meaningful results for persons with disabilities in the local workforce.
Bernard, President of the Antigua and Barbuda Association of Persons with Disabilities (ABAPD), welcomed the achievement as the Ministry continues to push forward with its broader social transformation agenda.
