The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is investigating a shooting incident that left two teenage males with gunshot injuries on Saturday night.

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on June 27, officers responded to reports of a shooting on South Street in the vicinity of a tattoo shop. Preliminary investigations indicate that the two teenagers were standing along the roadway when they observed two unknown males walking along Goodwin Street.

The suspects were reportedly dressed in dark clothing, with hooded tops covering their faces. One of the suspects allegedly fired several shots in the direction of the teenagers before both fled the scene on foot.

A 16-year-old resident of South Street and a 17-year-old resident of Villa were transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment. Medical personnel have confirmed that the injuries sustained by both victims are not considered life-threatening. The two remain under observation while receiving further medical attention.
