A young woman has entered a not guilty plea to a charge of causing death by dangerous driving, more than two years after an 18-year-old lost his life in a road crash on All Saints Road.

According to Antigua Observer, La-Shanti Cooper appeared before the court last week and denied the charge in connection with the fatal incident, which occurred in May of that year.

Cooper faces the serious charge linked to the crash that claimed the life of the young man, whose death prompted the legal proceedings now moving through the courts. The case has taken over two years to reach the plea stage.

As reported by Antigua Observer, no further details regarding the circumstances of the crash or a trial date were immediately disclosed following Cooper's court appearance.
