Nurses at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre have completed a medication safety refresher training programme aimed at reinforcing best practices and strengthening patient care standards.

According to Antigua News Room, the training featured interactive learning sessions and discussions grounded in real-world clinical scenarios, giving nurses the opportunity to deepen their understanding of medication safety protocols.

The sessions were facilitated by the hospital's Pharmacy team in collaboration with a Clinical Educator from the Learning and Development Unit.

Hospital officials stated that the initiative forms part of ongoing professional development efforts designed to improve patient safety, support continuous learning among healthcare staff, and maintain high standards of clinical care.

The medical centre underscored that continued education is essential to ensuring safe medication practices, noting that "every dose matters" and "every patient matters."
