The Caribbean must move urgently to embrace artificial intelligence or risk being overwhelmed by it, AI strategist Timothy Temal has warned.
According to Antigua Observer, Temal made the remarks during an interview on Observer AM, cautioning that the region has a narrow window to adapt to the technology before it reshapes economies without any local input.
Temal's warning underscores a growing concern among technology experts that small island developing states, including those in the Caribbean, may be left behind as artificial intelligence rapidly transforms industries and labour markets worldwide.
