The Office of the Chief Health Inspector is appealing to the public for assistance in locating the next of kin of four deceased individuals whose remains are currently being held in storage at Straffies Funeral Home.

According to Antigua News Room, family members of the deceased are being urged to contact Straffies Funeral Home on St. John's Street at 462-0575 as soon as possible to make arrangements for private burial.

Authorities have issued a firm deadline for relatives to come forward. The Office of the Chief Health Inspector has warned that if no family members present themselves within 14 days of the publication of the notice, the government will proceed with the interment of the bodies at a public cemetery without further notice.

Officials also cautioned that once burial has taken place, legal action will not be available as a recourse for relatives who fail to respond in time.

The public is encouraged to share this notice widely to help ensure the deceased are identified and that their families are given the opportunity to claim their loved ones and arrange appropriate burial services.
